I don't really remember my first time in public - what constitutes public? Or performance? I guess it was probably with Stan at a tent theatre in Confederation Park in Stoney Creek, Ontario on the shore of Lake Ontario. I played flute with him for a couple of songs every night for a week or so. The director slipped me a couple of dollars at the end of the week. I guess that was my first paid gig.
